There’s no such thing as one size fits all. At Yalla Thrive coaching is as individual as you!

  • Sometimes a young person needs something more personal.
A space that is just for them, where they can talk openly, be understood, and work through what’s really going on beneath the surface.

One to one coaching offers exactly that.

These sessions are calm, supportive and completely tailored to the individual. There’s no pressure, no judgement, and no expectation to “have it all figured out.” Just a safe, consistent space to explore thoughts, build confidence, and develop tools that genuinely help.

I work closely with each young person to help them:

    • build confidence and self-worth

    • manage anxiety, worries and overthinking

    • understand and regulate emotions

    • navigate friendships and social situations

    • cope with change, pressure or school-related challenges

    • feel more in control of their thoughts, feelings and behaviours

Sessions are adapted to suit the child or young person in front of me. Some are more conversation-based, others include activities, movement, or creative approaches depending on what works best for them.

I draw on a range of approaches including coaching, CBT-informed tools, and child-friendly frameworks such as the chimp brain, helping young people understand how their mind works and how to manage it more effectively.

    A flexible, supportive approach

One to one coaching can be especially helpful for:

    • young people who feel anxious, overwhelmed or “stuck”

    • those lacking confidence or struggling with self-belief

    • children finding friendships or school difficult

    • school refusers or those with SEMH needs

    • young people who may not feel comfortable in a group setting

Sessions can also include optional parent support, helping you understand the tools your child is learning and how to reinforce them at home.

    The impact

Over time, young people begin to:

    • feel calmer and more secure in themselves

    • communicate more openly

    • respond to challenges in a more balanced way

    • develop confidence that carries into school and everyday life

This is not about “fixing” a child.
It’s about helping them understand themselves, feel supported, and realise that they are capable of more than they think.

  • Weekend Thrive Sessions

Thrive Quest (KS2) | Thrive Strong (KS3 Girls) | Thrive Up (KS3 Boys)

My weekend Thrive sessions are designed to give young people something they often don’t get enough of in everyday life…
space to build confidence, understand themselves, and feel genuinely good about who they are.

Each session blends mindset, movement, and real-life tools in a way that feels engaging, supportive, and fun. This isn’t classroom learning and it’s not therapy either. It sits right in the middle. Practical, relatable, and immediately useful.

Across Thrive Quest, Thrive Strong and Thrive Up, young people learn how to:

    • build confidence and self-belief

    • manage worries and overthinking

    • understand their emotions and reactions

    • develop resilience when things feel hard

    • improve friendships and communication

    • feel calmer, more in control, and more themselves

Every session follows a simple but powerful structure:

    • Calm start and intention setting

    • Brain work – learning a new tool or strategy

    • Body work – movement, games and challenges to bring it to life

    • Reflection and takeaway – something they can actually use at home or school

I use a range of approaches including CBT, coaching tools, and child-friendly concepts like the chimp brain, helping young people make sense of what’s going on inside their minds in a way that really sticks.

Above all, these sessions are about connection.
When young people feel safe, understood and valued, that’s when real growth happens.

    Who it’s for

    • Children who need a confidence boost

    • Those who worry, overthink or feel anxious

    • Young people navigating friendships or school pressures

    • Anyone who would benefit from feeling more calm, capable and resilient

No diagnosis or referral is needed. Just a willingness to show up.

    The impact

    Parents often notice:

    • improved confidence and independence

    • better emotional regulation

    • more open communication at home

    • a calmer, happier child

    And the young people themselves?
They start to believe in who they are and what they’re capable of.

  • Supporting pupil wellbeing, confidence and emotional development in a way that is practical, engaging and aligned with the realities of school life.

Yalla Thrive works in partnership with schools to provide targeted, high-impact support that helps children and young people better understand themselves, manage their emotions, and feel more confident both in and out of the classroom.

With over 20 years’ experience in education, I understand the pressures schools are under. The need to support wellbeing is clear, but time, capacity and resources are often stretched. My work is designed to complement what schools are already doing, offering additional support that is flexible, responsive and easy to implement.
